A Large Island in the Central Part of
Bull ShoalsLake

Located a few miles from Tall Timbers Resort is a large island in the central part of Bull Shoals Lake. It is connected to the mainland by a half mile long causeway.  Gates close off auto traffic between mid-September and May 1, but you can still reach the island by boat or by crossing the causeway on foot or by bicycle.

The area has scenic lake views, is heavily wooded, and abounds with deer and small game.  From November through March you can often spot Bald Eagles nesting in the area where they winter. 

The island is a nature lovers paradise and a photographers delight. For hiking or biking there are miles of paved roads to use plus there are paths that branch off into the woods.
